News of VMS South

Viet Nam delegation visited and worked at Hydrography and Geodesy National Office in Cuba

On date 13-16 April 2018, two of companies that VMS-South and VMS-North visited and worked at Hydrography and Geodesy National Office in Cuba by office’s letter. There were Mr. Bui The Hung – General Director of VMS-South, Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoa – Deputy General Director of VMS-North and leaders of Pilot I, South-Central MSC, Maritime Safety Dept., International Cooperation & Pilot Management Dept. of VMS-South.

       Hydrography and Geodesy National Office in Cuba where is authority under Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, head-office in La Havana, that was established on 10/1997.

On the work, Dr. Cándido A. Regalado Gómez- Chief of Hydrography and Geodesy National Office and delegate was welcome Vietnam delegation:

The main issues discussed on the meeting as follows:

- Exchange, introduce to function, duty.

- Visiting Hydrography and Geodesy National Office in Cuba

- Sharing information about maritime safety and support in producing nautical charts and maritime publications.

Besides that, in the future, Cuba will focus on developing about travelling, therefor, Cuba also focus on sharing experiences’ Vietnam about AtoN and services on travelling.

About VMS-South, Mr. Bui The Hung – General Director on behalf work-group said “Thank you” to Hydrography and Geodesy National Office in Cuba. On that occasion, General Director also send welcome letter to Hydrography and Geodesy National Office in Cuba about visiting and working in Vietnam on May 2018.
