Fairway sections: shallow sections Ganh Rai Bay, Dan Xay, Kervella, L’est Peak, Propontis, Da Han, Buoy “58”, Navioil, P71-DT83, turning basin VQ01, turning basin VQ02.

Southern Vietnam Maritime Safety Corporation would like to inform that:

Within designed fairway bottom with 150m in width, fairway section Ganh Rai Bay with 400m in width, limited and guided by AtoN system, the depth in meters to Chart Datumn is as follows:

1) Within the surveyed shallow section Ganh Rai Bay (from upstream buoy “8” on Vung Tau – Thi Vai fairway + 800m to upstream buoy “3” + 800m).

- Shallow section on the left of fairway extends from downstream Buoy “4” – 430m to downstream Buoy “4” – 230m, about 200m in length, the furthest point encroaches 56m on fairway, the smallest depth is 8,3m.

- Except the shallow sections above, the smallest depth of the fairway section is 8,5m.

2) Within the surveyed shallow section Dan Xay (from downstream buoy “29” – 400m to upstream Buoy “26” +400): smallest depth of the fairway section is 8,5m.

3) Within the surveyed shallow section Kervella (from downstream buoy “28” – 400m to Buoy “33”):

6) Within the surveyed shallow section Da Han (from downstream buoy “46” – 100m to upstream Buoy “43” +300): smallest depth of the fairway section is 8,5m.

7) Within the surveyed shallow section buoy “58” (At the Pha Mi Peak area):

- Shallow section on the left of fairway extends from Buoy “58” to upstream, about 75m, about 160m in width, the smallest depth is 7,6m.

- Except the shallow sections above, the smallest depth of the fairway section is 8,5m.

8) Within the surveyed shallow section Navioil (from buoy “67” to upstream Buoy “69” +850): smallest depth of the fairway section is 8,5m.

9) Within the surveyed shallow section P71-ĐT83 (from buoy “71” to upstream Beacon “83” +1300m):

- Shallow section across fairway extends from downstream Buoy “64” – 200m to upstream Buoy “64” + 370m, about 570m in length, the smallest depth in heart center is 8,3m, the smallest depth in shallow section is 7,0m located contiguously to left border of fairway.

- Shallow section on the right of fairway extends from downstream Buoy “77” – 180m to upstream Buoy “77” + 370m, about 550m in length, the furthest point encroaches 68m on fairway, the smallest depth is 7,3m located contiguously to border of fairway.

- Shallow section across fairway extends from upstream Buoy “77” + 370m to downstream Buoy “66” – 720m, about 360m in length, the smallest depth in heart center is 7,8m, the smallest depth in shallow section is 7,3m located contiguously to right border of fairway.

- Shallow section on the left of fairway extends from downstream Buoy “66” – 720m to downstream Buoy “66” – 380m, about 340m in length, the furthest point encroaches 66m on fairway, the smallest depth is 7,7m located contiguously to border of fairway.

- Shallow section on the left of fairway extends from upstream Buoy “66” + 45m to upstream Buoy “66” + 270m, about 225m in length, the furthest point encroaches 14m on fairway, the smallest depth is 7,1m located contiguously to border of fairway.

- Shallow section on the left of fairway extends from upstream Buoy “81” + 340m to beacon “68”, about 380m in length, the furthest point encroaches 14m on fairway, the smallest depth is 6,7m located contiguously to border of fairway.

- Except the shallow sections and shallow points above, the smallest depth of the fairway section is 8,5m.

10) Within the surveyed turning basin VQ01 is semi-circle with diameter of 340m in the area opposite to Saigon port: the smallest depth is 3,4m.

11) Within the surveyed turning basin VQ02 is semi-circle with diameter of 480m in the area opposite to Te Canal: the smallest depth is 5,1m.

NAVIGATION GUIDANCE:

All vessels navigating on Sai Gon – Vung Tau fairway based on Notice to Mariners, paper chart and AtoN system to have methods of safety navigation. Notice the shallow points, shallow sections mentioned above and comply strictly with the regulation of HCMC Maritime Administration.
