The dredging and maintenance construction site on Sai Gon – Vung Tau fairway in 2023

Fairways: Sai Gon – Vung Tau, Soai Rap.
VMS-South would like to inform that the dredging and maintenance construction site of Sai Gon – Vung Tau fairway in 2023 with the following details:
- The construction site, the navigational route of construction means for transferring and dumping dredging for waste and the temporarily dumping for waste área
1.1. The construction site
- Ganh Rai Bay shallow section: From AtoN buoys no. “1” – 2,67 km to “3” + 140 m;
- Kervella section: From AtoN buoys no. “28” – 150 m to “28” + 354 m;
- L’Est Cape section: From the leading light “H1” – 438 m to AtoN beacon no. “42” + 75 m;
- Propontis shallow section: From AtoN buoys no. “37A” + 90 m to “44” + 250 m;
- P71 – ĐT83 shallow section: From AtoN buoy no. “71” + 550 m to the beacon no. “83” + 1,35 km;
- Turning basin VQ2.
1.2. The navigational route of construction means for transferring
- Ganh Rai Bay shallow section: From dredging position alongs Soai Rap river route to the conjunction of Soai Rap River- Can Giuoc River (Port water area boundary) navigating following Can Giuoc River route to the dumping área for waste and vice versa.
- The remain shallow sections: From the dredging position to the conjunction of Binh Khanh following Soai Rap River to Soai Rap – Can Giuoc rivers (Port water area boundary) navigating following Can Giuoc River route to the dumping área for waste and vice versa.
1.3. The temporarily dumping área for waste: Located in Can Giuoc River on the left bank of Soai Rap River, about 750 m from the Soai Rap River junction, across from AtoN buoys no. “31”, “34” of Soai Rap fairway.
- Time for construction: Estimated 54 days from the date of commencement (From November 27, 2024).
- Characteristics of construction means: Excavator (Crance barge), Barge, Tug boat and Cutter suction and pump Dredger (Cutter suction dredger).
NAVIGATION GUIDANCE
All vessels navigating on Sai Gon – Vung Tau fairway and Soai Rap fairway when crossing through the construction site has means are implementing for dredging and maintenance of the fairway, along the navigational route of the construction means for dumping dredging waste and the temporarily dumping area for waste as noticed above for keep watching, ensuring smoothly communication and absolutely comply with the appointment of the regulation force at the site for maritime safety./.
