The parameters depth of Sai Gon – Vung Tau fairway sections.

Fairway: Sai Gon – Vung Tau .
Fairway sections: Shallow sections of Ganh Rai Bay, Dan Xay, Kervella, L’est Cape, Propontis, Đa Han, AtoN buoy no. “58”, Navioil, P71-ĐT83, Turning basins VQ01, VQ02.
VMS-South would like to inform that the parameters depth of Sai Gon – Vung Tau fairway sections with the following details:
Within range of the designed fairway bottom is 150 m wide, The Ganh Rai Bay is 400 m wide which limited and guided by AtoN system, depth determined by echo sounding 200 kHz frequency to chart datum as follows.
- Within range of the Ganh Rai Bay shallow section (the section from AtoN buoys no. số “8”, “9” on Vung Tau – Thi Vai fairway to AtoN buoy no. “3” + 800 m) as follows :
- Appearing depth point is 8,4 m in the position with coordinates as follows:

- Within range of the surveyed Dan Xay shallow section (the section from AtoN buoys no. “29”- 400 m to “26” + 400 m) as follows:
- Appearing depth point is 8,4 m in the position with coordinates as follows:

- Within range of the surveyed Kervella shallow section (the section from AtoN buoys no. “28” – 400 m to “33”):
- The depth points range is on the starboard hand side of the fairway from AtoN buoy no. “28” – 128 m to “28”, 128 m long, the furthest point encroaches 25 m on the fairway, depth is 5,4 m on closed the fairway’s edge.
- Appearing depth point is 8,3 m in the position with coordinates as follows ộ:

- Within range of the surveyed L’est Cape shallow section (the section from AtoN buoys no. “34” –1100 m to “37A”):
- The depth points range is on the starboard hand side of the fairway from AtoN buoy no. “34” – 120 m to “34” + 40 m, 160 m long, the furthest point encroaches 10 m on the fairway, depth is 8,1 m on closed the fairway’s edge.
- The depth points range is on the starboard hand side of the fairway from AtoN beacons no. “35” to “37” – 90 m, 440 m long, the furthest point encroaches 54 m on the fairway, depth is 7,4 m.
- The depth points range is on the port hand side of the fairway from AtoN buoys no. “37” + 400 m to “40”, 1086 m long, the furthest point encroaches 43 m on the fairway, depth is 6,7 m on closed the fairway’s edge.
Except depth points, depth point ranges mentioned above, depth of this fairway is 8,5 m.
- Within range of the surveyed Propontis shallows section (the section from AtoN buoys no. “37A” to “44” + 750 m):
- Appearing depth point is 8,4 m in the position with coordinates as follows :

- The depth point range is on the port hand side of the fairway from AtoN buoy no. “44” + 20 m to “44” + 120 m, 100 m long, the furthest point encroaches 20 m on the fairway, depth is 6,7 m on closed the fairway’s edge.
Except depth points and depth point ranges mentioned above, depth of this fairway is 8,5 m.
- Within range of the surveyed Da Han shallows section (the section from AtoN buoys no. “46” – 100 m to “43” + 300 m): depth is 8,8 m.
- Within range of the surveyed AtoN buoy no. “58” shallow section area (Tại khu vực mũi Pha Mi):
- The depth points range is on the starboard hand side of the fairway from AtoN buoy no. “58” – 37 m to “58”- 190, 153 m long, 112 m wide, depth is 6,3 m.
Except depth points and depth point ranges mentioned above, depth of this fairway is 8,5 m.
- Within range of the surveyed Navioil shallow section (the section from AtoN buoys no. “67” to “69” + 850 m): Depth is 10,0 m.
- Within range of the surveyed P71-ĐT83 shallow section (the section from AtoN buoys no. “71” – 820 m to AtoN beacon no. “83” + 1300 m):
- The fairway section from AtoN buoys no. “73” + 60 m to “64” + 410, 700 m long, depth is 6,1 m, depth at the fairway center is 7,5 m.
- The depth points range is on the starboard hand side of the fairway from AtoN buoy no. “75” – 460 m to “75” + 50 m, 510 m long, the furthest point encroaches 40 m on the fairway, depth is 6,5 m on closed the fairway’s edge, depth at fairway center is 8,8 m.
- The depth points range is on the starboard hand side of the fairway from AtoN buoy no. “77” – 240 m to “77” – 30 m, 210 m long, the furthest point encroaches 38 m on the fairway, depth is 6,8 m on closed the fairway’s edge.
- The depth points range is on the port hand side of the fairway from AtoN buoy no. “77” + 340 m to “77” + 620, 280 m long, depth is 7,5 m, depth at fairway center is 8,5 m.
- The depth points range is on the port hand side of the fairway from AtoN buoy no. “66” – 400 to “66” – 640 m, 240 m long, the furthest point encroaches 30 m on the fairway, depth is 7,7 m on closed the fairway’s edge.
- The depth points range is on the port hand side of the fairway from AtoN buoy no. “66” to “66” + 130 m, is 130 m long, the furthest point encroaches 12 m on the fairway, Depth is 6,9 m on closed the fairway’s edge.

Except points, depth point ranges mentioned above, depth of this fairway is 8,5 m.
- Within range of the surveyed turning basin VQ01 (the waters in front of Sai Gon wharf, and in the downstream of Ben Nghe canal) is the semi-circle has radius of 340 m: Depth is 1,9 m.
- Within range of the surveyed turning basin VQ02 (the waters is opposite with Te Canal) is the semi-circle has radius of 480 m: Depth is 5,9 m.
NAVIGATION GUIDANCE
All vessels navigating on Sai Gon – Vung Tau fairway crossing through the fairway sections mentioned above are based on the Notice to Mariners, pay attention to the Notice to Mariners, the sounding charts and AtoN system to have safety marine measures. Pay attention to depth points, depth point ranges and absolutely comply with the appointment of Maritime Administration of Ho Chi Minh City for maritime safety./.
