The fairway section: From AtoN buoy no. “21” to Goi Lon canal.
VMS-South would like to inform that the parameters depth of Dinh An – Hau River, the section from AtoN buoy no. “21” to Goi Lon canal as follows:
Within range of the surveyed fairway limited and guided by AtoN system, depth determined by echo sounding 200 kHz frequency to chart datum as follows:
- The fairway section from AtoN buoys no. “21” to “85” is 79,7 km long, the width of fairway is 200 m:
- The fairway section from AtoN buoys no. “21” to “32” + 1400 m, is 4,4 km long, depth is 3,2 m on close the starboard hand side of fairway, depth at the fairway center is 4,6 m.
- The fairway section from AtoN buoys no. “32” + 1400 m to “34” – 340 m is 1,7 km long, depth is 5,0 m.
- The fairway section from AtoN buoys no. “34” – 340 m to “44”, is 12,2 km long, depth is 6,0 m.
- The fairway section from AtoN buoys no. “44” to “62” – 500 m, is 22,0 km long, depth is 8,0 m.
- The fairway section from AtoN buoy no. “62” – 500 m to “62” + 1000 m, is 1,7 km long, depth is 5,1 m on close the starboard hand side of fairway, depth at the fairway center is 6,4 m.
- The fairway section from AtoN buoy no. “62” + 1000 m to “70” – 400 m, is 8,3 km long, độ sâu đạt 8,3 m.
- The fairway section from AtoN buoys no. “70” – 400 m to “74” + 1150 m, is 6,4 km long, depth is 9,9 m.
- The fairway section from AtoN buoys no. “74” + 1150 m to “76” + 1000 m, is 2,3 km long, depth is 8,2 m.
- The fairway section from AtoN buoy no. “76” + 1000 m to Cai Cui wharf, is 9,1 km long, depth is 11,1 m.
- The fairway section from Cai Cui wharf to AtoN buoy no. “86”, is 2,0 km long, depth is 9,3 m.
- The fairway section from AtoN buoys no. “86” to “85”, is 9,6 km long, depth is 11,6 m.
- The fairway section from AtoN buoy no. “85” to Hoang Dieu wharf, the width of fairway is 200 m, including two fairway branches divided by Con Son as follows:
- a) The fairway branch on the starboard hand side of Con Son, is 6,3 km long, depth is 9,7 m.
- b) The fairway section on the port hand side of Con Son, is 6,7 km long, the fairway route has natural depth with the determined fairway center’s coordinates in the table below:

Depth is 5,3 m.
- The fairway section from Hoang Dieu wharf to O Mon rivulet mouth is 11,6 km long, the width of fairway is 100 m, depth is 11,0 m.
- The section from O Mon rivulet mouth – Cai San rivulet mouth is 51,66 km long, including 02 fairway branches divided by Cu Lao Tan Loc as follows:
- The fairway section branch on the starboard hand side of Cu Lao Tan Loc (from the area of O Mon rivulet mouth to the end of Turning basin at Goi Lon canal area – the area of AtoN buoys no. “133” and “130”) is 32,81 km long, the width of fairway is 200 m, the section through Vam Cong Bridge (with the length is 2,0 km), the width of fairway is 100 m, depth is 7,8 m.
- The fairway section on the port hand side of Cù lao Tân Lộc (from the area of AtoN buoys no. “111” and “108” to “125” and “122”, its distance of Vam Cong Bridge is 1.7km from the upstream of fairway), is 18,85 km long, the width of fairway is 60 m, depth is 4,1 m.
- The turning basin area limited by circle has radius of D = 300 m, Center VQ in the position with coordinates as follows:

Pay attention to: Moving fishing stakes appear in the position of AtoN buoys no. “61”, “92”, “97”.
NAVIGATION GUIDANCE
All vessels navigating on Dinh An – Hau River fairway, the section from AtoN buoy no. “21” the Goi Lon canal are based on the Notice to Mariners, the sounding charts and AtoN system to have safety navigational measures. Pay attention to moving fishing stakes and absolutely comply with the appointment of Maritime Administrations of Can Tho and An Giang for maritime safety./.
