Depth of water on Hậu river

Waters:  Trà Vinh province.

Fairway: Hậu river.

VMS-South would like to inform that:

        Within surveyed maritime route for large tonnage vessels to enter the Hau River limited and guide by AtoN system:

1. Segment 1 – Waters : segment from buoy “0” to Dân Thành commune, Duyên Hải district, Trà Vinh province (buoys “9”, “12”) 7,7km in length:

a). Segment from buoy “0” to downstream of buoys “7”, “10” – 200m, 6,5km in length, 150m in width:

- Segment from upstream of buoy “1” + 170m to upstream of buoy “3” + 530m, 1,6km in length, depth in meters of center to Chart Datum is 5,8m, depth in meters to Chart Datum is 5,0m.

- Segment from upstream of buoy “3” + 530m to downstream of buoy “8” – 250m, 2,0km in length, depth in meters of center to Chart Datum is 4,2m, depth in meters to Chart Datum is 4,1m.

• Segment from downstream of buoy “8” – 250m to downstream of buoys “7”, “10” – 200m, 1,4km in length, depth in meters of center to Chart Datum is 3,5m, depth in meters to Chart Datum is 2,5m.

b). Segment from downstream of buoys “7”, “10” – 200m to Dân Thành commune, Duyên Hải district, Trà Vinh province (beacons “9”, “12”) 1,2km in length, 85m in width, depth in meters to Chart Datum is 3,0m on left fairway, depth in meters of center to Chart Datum is 5,3m.

Depth in meters to Chart Datum is 6,5m.

2. Segment 2 – Tắt channel: Dân Thành commune, Duyên Hải district, Trà Vinh province (beacons “9”, “12”) to fork of Quan Chánh Bố channel- Tắt channel 8,7km in length, 85m in width:

• Segment from beacons “9”, “12” to upstream of beacons “13” + 430m 3,6km in length :

+ Shallow is right of fairway about 4m, depth in meters to Chart Datum is 4,2m.

+ Appearing shallow points 5,2m; 5,2m; 4,7m; 5,3m; 6,4m that are on left of fairway:

• Segment from beacons “13” + 430m to beacons “15”, “18”, 1,3km in length:

+ Shallow is on left of fairway about 2m, depth in meters to Chart Datum is 4,6m.

+ Appearing shallow points 5,3m; 4,9m; 4,7m:

• Segment from beacons “15”, “18” to beacons “17”, “19”, 1,6km in length:

+ Shallow is on right of fairway about 18m, depth in meters to Chart Datum is 4,9m.

+ Shallow is on left of fairway about 8m, depth in meters to Chart Datum is 4,9m.

+ Appearing shallow points 6,4m; 6,3m; 6,1m; 6,0m; 5,5m; 5,9m; 3,1m:

• Segment from beacons “22” – 250m to fork of Quan Chánh Bố channel- Tắt channel, 500m in length:

+ Shallow is on left of fairway about 20m, depth in meters to Chart Datum is 1,9m.

Depth in meters to Chart Datum is 6,5m.

3. Segment 3 – Quan Chánh Bố channel: from fork of Quan Chánh Bố channel – Tắt channel to fork of Hậu river – Quan Chánh Bố channel (buoy area “46”) 20,0km in length :

• Appearing shallow points 5,3m; 5,5m; 5,7m; 6,0m; 6,2m; 6,3m; 6,4m :

• Shallow horizontal fairway of flow extending from beacons “21”, “26” to upstream of beacons “21”, “26” + 520m, 460m in length, depth in meters to Chart Datum is 4,3m, depth in meters of center to Chart Datum is 5,6m.
• Shallow horizontal fairway of flow extending from beacons “21”, “26” + 830m to upstream of beacons “21”, “26” + 1140m, 300m in length, depth in meters to Chart Datum is 4,4m, depth in meters of center to Chart Datum is 5,1m.
• Shallow horizontal fairway of flow extending from beacons “23”- 450m to upstream of beacons “23”+ 590m, 1,0km in length, depth in meters to Chart Datum is 5,7m, depth in meters of center to Chart Datum is 5,7m
• Shallow horizontal fairway of flow extending from beacons “25”-150m to upstream of beacons “29”+ 180m, 4,3 km in length, depth in meters to Chart Datum is 4,6m, depth in meters of center to Chart Datum is 5,1m.
• Shallow horizontal fairway of flow extending from beacons “29”+ 180m to beacons “31”, “36”, 1,1km in length, depth in meters to Chart Datum is 1,7m on right of fairway; within scope 80m from center fairway to each sides 40m depth in meters to Chart Datum is 5,2m, depth in meters of center to Chart Datum is 5,4m.
• Shallow horizontal fairway of flow extending from beacons “31”, “36” to downstream of buoy “37” – 100m, 6,9km in length, depth in meters to Chart Datum is 4,0m, depth in meters of center to Chart Datum is 4,3m.
• Shallow horizontal fairway of flow extending from downstream of buoy “37” – 100m to buoy “39A”, 600m in length, depth in meters to Chart Datum is 2,9m on left of fairway, depth in meters of center to Chart Datum is 3,7m.
• Shallow horizontal fairway of flow extending from buoy “39A” to upstream of buoy “46” + 200m, 850m in length, depth in meters to Chart Datum is 0,6m right of fairway, depth in meters of center to Chart Datum is 3,0m.

Depth in meters to Chart Datum is 6,5m .

4. Segment 4 –Hậu river: from fork of Hậu river- Quan Chánh Bố channel (buoy “46”+ 200m) to upsdtream of buoys “57” “64” (connection area Định An –Hậu river) 16,2km in length and 95m in width :

• Shallow is on right of fairway from uopstream of buoy “46” + 200m đến thượng lưu phao số “46” + 400m, 200m in length, distance 50m, depth in meters to Chart Datum is 5,6m.
• Appearing shallow points 6,2m; 6,3m; 6,4m; 5,9m; 5,5m:

Depth in meters to Chart Datum is 6,5m.

5. Water avoiding area: 600m in length, 50m in width:

• Water avoiding area 1 is on right of fairway, beacons “19”, “24”: depth in meters to Chart Datum is 6,6m.
• Water avoiding area 2 is on right of fairway, beacons “29”, “34” to beacons “31”, “36”: depth in meters to Chart Datum is 1,7m.

1. Obstacles on fairways:

- Các đáy cá di động xuất hiện rải rác trên đoạn luồng trong khu vực từ ngã ba kênh Tắt đến đăng tiêu “27” lấn luồng xa nhất khoảng 30m tại khu vực đăng tiêu số “24”. Fish bottoms appear scattered on the fairway section in the area from Tắt channel to beacon “27” marker encroaching on the farthest point about 30m in  beacon area “24”

NAVIGATION GUIDANCE:

All vessels navigating on Hậu river should notice mooring buoy with characteristics mentioned above, keep watching, and comply strictly with the regulation of Cần Thơ and An Giang Maritime Administration for maritime safety.
