Depth of of waters at Dong Nai fairway

Waters: Ho Chi Minh city, Dong Nai province.

Fairway: Dong Nai.

VMS-South would like to inform that:

Within surveyed waters at Dong Nai fairway bottom with a fairway bottom width of 150m, the depth is determined by a 200kHz-frequency reverb to from Datum Chart as follows:

1. Section 1: connecting Saigon – Vung Tau fairway at Nha Be, starting from Den Do cape to Ong Nhieu canal junction with a length of 9.5km, fairway bottom width of 150m, depth of 8.5m.
2. Section 2: From Ong Nhieu canal junction to downstream Dong Nai bridge (150m from Dong Nai bridge), 26.2km in length, 150m in width of fairway bottom (section of fairway through Long Thanh bridge is about 1.0km long, with 02 compartments boats, each 60m wide) as follows:

- From the intersection of Ong Nhieu canal upstream of buoy “15” + 500m with a length of about 1.9km, the minimum depth in the center of the fairway is 7.7m, and the depth in the fairway segment is 7.6m.

- The section from the upstream of buoy “15” + 500m to the downstream of buoy “14” – 400m, has a length of about 6.2 km, a depth of 9.2 m.

- The section from the downstream of buoy “14” – 400m to buoy “16”, is about 2km in length, the depth at the center of the fairway reaches 7.7m, the depth in the fairway section reaches 6, 1m is adjacent to the right fairway.

- The section from buoy “16” to buoy “20”, is about 1.6 km in length, the depth at the center of the fairway reaches 9.3 m, the depth in the fairway reaches 5.1 m. close to the left fairway, about 110m from buoy “20”.

- Section from buoy “20” to the upstream of buoy “26” + 200m, approximately 3.6 km in length, and 8.4m in depth.

- Section from the upstream of buoy “26 + 180m to the upstream of buoy” 28 “+ 830m, approximately 2.3km in length, the depth at the center of the fairway reaches 6.9m, the depth in section of the fairway reaches 6,3m.

- Section from the upstream of marine buoy “28” + 830m to marine buoy “41”, length is about 4.6km, depth in center of fairway reaches 4.2m, depth in fairway section reaching 3.2m lying close to the left fairway, about 10m from the left fairway.

- Section of the fairway from buoy “41” to downstream of Dong Nai bridge (150m from Dong Nai bridge), approximately 3.7km in length as follows:

+ There exists a reef located on the left side of the fairway, between buoy with the symbols “E1″, “E2″, the reef encroaching the furthest fairway 40m, the depth of the reef reaches 1.2m at the location with coordinates. as follows:

+ There exists a reef scattered between the fairway, extending from the upstream of buoy “32” + 350m to the upstream of buoy “32” + 530m, length about 180m, depth 4.1m of the underground rock bed, located close to the center of the fairway at the following coordinates:

+ In addition to the above-mentioned reefs, the depth at this fairway section will reach 4.5m.

3. Within surveyed waters at turning basin No. 1 (in front of Cat Lai harbor) is designed as a circle with a diameter of 356m, center V1 at the location with the following coordinates:

- Depth is determined by an echo machine with frequency of 200KHz, taking into account water level “0” in Nautical chart is 9.1m.

4. Within surveyed waters at turning basin No. 2 (at Ong Nhieu canal junction area) is designed as a circle with a diameter of 300m, center V2 at the following coordinates:

- Depth is determined by an echo machine with frequency of 200KHz, taking into account water level “0” in Nautical chart is 9.4m.

5. Within surveyed waters at turning basin No.3 (in front of Dong Nai port) is designed as 1/2 circle with diameter of 300m, center of V3 at the following coordinates:

- the depth is determined by a 200kHz-frequency reverb to from Datum Chart is 10.3m.

NAVIGATION GUIDANCE:

All means navigating on Dong Naifairway, pay attention to special buoy mentioned above, navigating far from AtoN marks above, keep watching, keep commination smoothly and absolutely comply with Vietnam Maritime Administration of Dong Nai.
