Depth of waters in Vũng Tàu – Thị Vải fairway

Fairway: Vung Tau – Thi Vai navigational fairway.

VMS-South would like to inform that:

Within the design of the bottom of fairway limited and guided by AtoN system:

1. The length of fairway from the buoy “0” to the downstream of Petec Cai Mep petroleum port has a length of 30.6km, the minimum width of fairway is 310m as follows:

- Range of depth points extending from downstream buoy “1” – 320m to upstream Buoy “1” + 150m, length about 470m, encroaching the furthest fairway 30m, minimum depth reaching 12.6m lying close to the flow line.

- Occurrence point depth 13.7m; 13.4m; 13.9m at the location with coordinates:

- The section from the downstream of the buoy “5” – 680m upstream of the buoy “5” + 150m, is about 830m in length, encroaching the furthest fairway 150m, appearing at points with a depth of 12.8m; 10.3m; 11.5m; 11.7m, 12.9m at locations with coordinates:

In addition, the smallest depth is 13.0m, the minimum depth at the center of fairway is 13.9m.

- The depth point range is on the right of fairway extending from the upstream of Buoy “5” + 150m to the upstream of Buoy “5” + 1100m, length about 1250m, encroaching the longest fairway 130m, the minimum depth is reached 13.3m.

- The depth point range is on the left side of fairway extending from the downstream of the Buoy “14” – 1200m to the downstream of buoy “16”-250m, encroaching the longest fairway 13,5m at most.

- The depth point range is on the left side of fairway extending from the downstream of buoy  “16” – 250m to the upstream of buoy “18” + 250m a depth of 12.9 is located close to fairway boundary, about 27.0m from fairway boundary at Buoy  “16”, in addition the smallest depth is 13.3m, the minimum depth at the center of fairway is 13.9m,

- The range of depth points is on the right of fairway extending from the downstream of Buoy “15” – 1000m to the downstream of Buoy “15” – 100m, encroaching the longest fairway 13.4m close to fairway.

- The depth point range is on the right of fairway, extending from Buoy “15” to upstream Buoy “17” + 1100m, length about 2.4km, encroaching the furthest fairway 145m, the minimum depth at the center of fairway. reach 13.9m, the smallest depth reaches 12.5m or more.

- The range of depth points is on the right of fairway extending from the downstream of the Buoy “19” -990m to the upstream of Buoy “19” + 750m, length about 1.74km, encroaching the furthest fairway 100m, the depth is small the most in reaching 13.3m.

- Appearance of shallow points 11.6m; 11.8m; 11.7m at the location with coordinates:

- The depth point range is on the right of fairway extending from Buoy “35” to upstream Buoy “37” + 350m, about 1.6km in length, encroaching the furthest fairway 82m, the minimum depth reaching 7,9m is located next to fairway.

- The depth point range is on the left side of fairway extending from the downstream of buoy  “42” – 440m to the Buoy “44”, about 1.2km in length, encroaching the furthest fairway 120m, the minimum depth reaching 7, 3m is located next to fairway.

In addition to the depth points, the above mentioned depth of fairway will reach 12.0 m or more.

- In the investigation area of ​​the ship turnaround is a circle with a diameter of 500m in the area in front of Ba Son shipyard: Minimum depth is 12.1m.

- In the investigation area of ​​the turning basin is a circle with a diameter of 515m in the area in front of SP-PSA International Port: the minimum depth is 9.3m.

3. The length of fairway from the upstream of Thi Vai General Terminal (ODA) to the upstream of Saigon International Terminal Vietnam (SITV) is 2.8km long, with the minimum width of 220m fairway bottom as follows:

- The depth point range is on the left side of fairway extending from Buoy “44” to Buoy “46”, length about 390m, encroaching the furthest fairway 66m, the minimum depth reaches 7.0m, lying close to fairway boundary.

- The depth point range is on the left side of fairway extending from the upstream of Buoy “46” + 170m to the upstream of Buoy “46” + 360m, length about 190m, encroaching the longest fairway 28m, the minimum depth is reached 7.7m close to fairway.

- The depth point range is on the left side of fairway extending from the upstream of Buoy “48” + 670m to upstream of Saigon International Port Vietnam (SITV), approximately 860m in length, encroaching the furthest fairway 46m, minimum depth of 9.3m lying close to fairway border.

In addition to the depth points, the above mentioned depth of fairway is 12.0 m or more.

- In the investigation area of ​​the ship turnaround is a circle with a diameter of 465m in the area in front of Thi Vai International Port: The minimum depth is 8.8m.

4. The length of fairway from the upstream of Saigon International Port Vietnam (SITV) to the end of the basin to turn the vessel upstream of Vedan Phuoc Thai port has a length of 9.6km, the minimum width of fairway’s bottom 90m as follows:
