Dated 28.03.2018, Representatives of GMT – Mr. Sang Jae Lee – Manager of Research Planning Department; Ms Seom Gyeol Lee – Consultant of Business Development Team have visited and worked with Southern Vietnam Maritime Safety Corporation (VMS-South). VMS-South has Dr. Pham Tuan Anh – Deputy General Director and leaders of department: Maritime Safety Dept, International Cooperation & Pilot Management Dept and East-Southern MSC welcomed the delegation.
GMT founded in 2002, possesses key technologies in surveilance, communication, navigation and security field for safety and security in both land and maritime area. GMT is carrying out the Feasibility Study of the Establishment of Maritime Safety Infrastructure in Vietnam now, especially in charge of making plan to implement the e-Navigation service and establish the e-Navigation test-bed system in Vietnam.
The main purpose of the trip this time, GMT visit and work with VMS-South to survey organization’s its own work role and functions in order to make more precise and optimized service plan.
At the meeting, the two sides have the introduction on history, organizational structure, functions and duties of VMS-South and GMT. Through meeting, VMS-South and GMT also expressed the concern to new technologies and opportunities to cooperate in future in the field of e-Navigation.
