Authorized by Mr. Truong Tan Sang- President of Socialist Republic of Vietnam, from 21-27 April, 2015, the government task force led by the Minister of Ministry Transport – Mr. Dinh La Thang (special envoy of the President) attended the 100thCanakkale victory anniversary celebration following theinvitation of Mr. RaycepTayyipErdogan–the Turkey President and some operations for strengthening cooperation and development of traffic infrastructure between Vietnam and Turkey.
The Canakkale victory is one of the biggest battlestook place in the early period of World War I (1914-1918). This is the event with historically significant, it is being laid the foundations of the Republic democracy of Turkey. There were more than 100 heads of state and senior leaders in other countries in the world came and attended the 100thCanakkale victory anniversary celebration. The purpose of this anniversary is to commemorate people who dead in the battle at Canakkale 100 years ago. This is also an opportunity for countries forward for a peaceful world.
VMS-South delegates attended with Ministry of Transport including Mr. Pham QuocSuy- Party Committee Secretary, General Director of VMS-South and Mr. Tran Minh Thuan- Head of International Cooperation Department.
During the business trip in Turkey this time, VMS-South delegates hadbeen insignificance operations such as visited and worked with Vietnamese Embassy in Turkey; attend the Vietnamese transport promotion of investment forum and Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Republic of Turkey bilateral negotiations in the field of development of maritime transport in Vietnam. At the forum, Mr. Pham QuocSuy introduced about VMS-South, functions, dutiesas well as development orientation of the corporation and hoped to get the attention of the Companies come from Turkey.
